About Our Church
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) started in 1952 in Lagos, Nigeria under the leadership of Pa Akindayomi. In 1981, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, a former university lecturer took over the leadership of the church. Under the Holy Spirit led leadership of Pastor Adeboye, the church has grown phenomenally with branches transversing all the continents of the world.
RCCG is one of the fastest growing churches in the world. The church is known worldwide by the annual December Holy Ghost congress that attracts millions of worshippers to Lagos, Nigeria. The branch in Pittsburgh was started in December 2003 by the RCCG Living Spring Miracle Center in Philadelphia, under the leadership of Pastor Funmi Obilana, with Pastor Bola Akomolede as the pioneer parish pastor. In October 2004, Pastor Adegboyega Esan took over as the parish pastor.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pittsburgh is a Holy Spirit filled, vibrant and warm place with people who love the Lord and enjoy fellowship with each other. Our mission is to enthrone Jesus Christ in the hearts of men and women through the preaching of the infallible Word of God. We preach the gospel of Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, deeds, teachings, atoning death, triumphant resurrection, ascension, mediatory work and His second coming. We acknowledge the unity of the Godhead and the person of the Trinity.
